2 Jacob F Bortner was born November 5, 1859 in Codorus, York, Pennsylvania. He was a farmer and also served as a janitor at the YMCA in Burnham, Mifflin, Pennsylvania the short time they resided there but returned to farming once he settled in New Castle, Delaware in 1924 with his son William Henry. He married Lydia Elizabeth Shearer on June 1, 1879. Jacob and Lydia had no grandchildren.

1 Wilson Luther Bortner was born November 9, 1879 in Codorus, York, Pennsylvania. He worked most of his life as a molder in a foundry. He married Alma Mae Garrett on January 31, 1921. She is a daughter of huckster Oliver Wildasin Garrett and Emily Jane Klinedinst and was born in May 1893 in Manheim, York, Pennsylvania. Alma's father Oliver enlisted with the Pennsylvania 74th Infantry Co. G on February 21, 1865 to guard the Parkersburg branch of the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad.

2 Daisy Ellen Bortner was born June 7, 1883 in Codorus, York, Pennsylvania. She married conductor of the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad, Hubert Kuntz Snyder in 1906. He is a son of farmer George Washington Snyder Sr. and Corinda Stansbury and was born August 9, 1884 in Westminster, Carroll, Maryland.

3 William Henry Bortner was born January 16, 1887 in Glen Rock, York, Pennsylvania. He was a bakery salesman and supervisor. He married Helen Gertrude Winemiller on November 2, 1914. She is a daughter of farmer Noah Franklin Winemiller and Sarah Ann Miller and was born October 1, 1889 in York, Pennsylvania.
