10 Maria Bortner was born January 10, 1867 in Codorus, York, Pennsylvania. She married farmer Joseph Milton Saubel on July 4, 1886. Joseph was a school board secretary and town assessor for Shrewsbury. He was a son of farmer Michael Saubel and Eleanor Leader and was born May 6, 1866 in Manheim.

1 Rufus Michael Saubel was born July 9, 1887 in Manheim. He was a book keeper for the First National Bank of Glen Rock, teacher and school director of Glen Rock. He married Lillie Kate Seitz on August 6, 1908. She was a daughter of farmer Benjamin Seitz and Barbara Ann Stermer and was born August 1, 1885 in Hametown.
Lillie's father Benjamin enlisted in the 166th Co. E Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry on November 11, 1862 and served until July 28, 1863 as a corporal. He was involved in the Battle of Deserted House (AKA Kelly's Store) on January 30, 1863, The Siege of Suffolk during April and early May of 1863 and other operations under Major General John Peck during Dix's Peninsula Campaign.

He married Anna Elleane Diehl on October 14, 1916. She was a daughter of store owner Adam Diehl and Regina Blasser and was born December 12, 1894 in Shrewsbury.
Claude and Anna had 2 children before she died on March 11, 1926. He remarried Florence Henrietta Seitz on November 10, 1928. She was a daughter of farmer Benjamin Franklin Seitz and Sarah Ann Lentz and was born November 16, 1904 in Hametown.
